meet me in st. louis

February 22, 2011

this past week/weekend i was in St. Louis helping my best friend settle into her new apartment. it was a week full of trips to Target and Bed Bath & Beyond, and unpacking millions of boxes, but somehow it was SO. MUCH. FUN. probably because i was with my bestest friend. we ordered chinese take out, and watched chick flicks. ordered pizza and ate it in bed while watching more movies and explored the city in her sexy convertible.

it was nice to have a girls weekend again. i’m feeling a little spoiled with all these girls trips lately, while chris stays at home to work. but we were lucky to have him come down on Saturday and spend the weekend with us, before he took me back to KC. so we decided to take a break from all the unpacking while he was there, and go see the city. we went to the Gateway Arch, Blueberry Hill (where Chuck Berry STILL plays on wednesdays), had fun in a photobooth, went to a fancy Brewery and stocked up on some yummy beer, drove around in the convertible, and just relaxed.

I’m so happy to have my bestest-friend-in-the-whole-wide-world, back in the same state as me. :)

it’s been way too long.

the morning after we finally got the kitchen all unpacked. (and a minor back injury for me…good thing she’s my chiropractor. ;) )

her bedroom curtains we hung, using powertools, all by ourselves. :)

visiting the Arch

2 of my favorite people

the Gateway Arch in all it’s glory. it’s so. freakin. huge.

she’s the best photobooth partner.

our yummy lunch with our growler in the background waiting to be filled.

i realized i had a lot of photos from the weekend of us laughing. i guess it just shows how much fun we had. :)

Oh how nice to have your friend so close to you now. I really love St. Louis, next time you will have to check out the Loop I think that’s what it’s called maybe Dunlop Loop, and there’s a cafe in Downtown St. L called the Rooster cafe that is good and another place close to it called Kitchen I think. AND should check out the children’s museum.. but sneak in cause it’s way too expensive ;) I miss the midwest!!!!! Oh and I love the pic of you and her under the Arch so cute, did you go to the top?

it’s really not as bad as you think, plus the pods you ride up in take your mind off it. unless you’re claustrophobic. :)
